and Ikeshima bus tour for international students.

On December 8, 2019, Nagasaki University's Faculty of Economics held a Sotome and Ikeshima bus tour for international students of the Faculty of Economics. The purpose of this tour is to provide opportunities for students to acquire understandings of culture and history of Nagasaki and build deeper friendships with each other/Japanese students.
Guided by local staff, participants visited the Shitsu church and the former Shitsu aid center in Sotome, both part of the “Hidden Christian Sites in the Nagasaki Region” UNESCO World Heritage, where there were many hidden Christians and walked around the former coal mine in Ikeshima.
